Jeremy Thomas, Chef de Cuisine
Jeremy recently moved to Atlanta from Denver, CO. Raised in Morrison, CO. in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, he reaped the benefits of the alpine culture where he grew up skiing, snowboarding, biking, mountaineering, fly fishing and foraging.
At the tender age of 17, Jeremy had the opportunity to begin working at the Tivoli Deer Restaurant in Evergreen, Co. under who would be his first mentor in a professional kitchen, Chef David Wiehler. It was there that he instantly fell in love with the aromas, flavors, terminology and high energy work environment that surrounded him as he was immersed into the world of Culinary Arts. Realizing Jeremy’s passion and commitment, Chef Wiehler brought the young protégé along with him to help helm the infamous, Game Creek Club atop Vail Mountain in Vail, Co. where he would first meet Chef Jared Hucks.
During Jeremy’s tenure at the Game Creek Club, he decided to pursue a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Upon graduating, he returned to Vail to work with Chef Jared at Chap’s Grill & Chophouse at the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa where the foundation of their friendship was forged, indefinitely.
Over the years, Jeremy has gone on to run various restaurants in the Denver area which would include the Ship Tavern at the Brown Palace Hotel, French 250, Parisi Italian Eatery, Le Grand Bistro & Oyster Bar- and most recently managing the culinary operations for Chi Psi Fraternity at Colorado University in Boulder, CO. where he nourished and mentored some of the bright and upcoming young men of our time.
Jeremy considers himself to be a true ‘Hospitalitarian’ and genuinely enjoys taking care of people- especially through the art of cooking and serving great food. Now, Chef Jeremy has the pleasure of cooking and caring for the guests at The Alden with his old friend, Chef Jared Hucks.
